Gymnastics Set to Host Ivy Classic on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown gymnastics team is set to host the annual Ivy Classic this Sunday afternoon, February 26 at the Pizzitola Sports Center. The annual showdown pits the four Ivy League gymnastics programs – Brown, Cornell, Penn and Yale - against each other to determine the Ivy Classic champion. The meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
Brown will be seeking its fifth Ivy Classic title in program history, previously winning in 1990, 2013, 2014 and 2016. Brown has finished third in each of the last two seasons, tying for their highest finish since they tied and were co-champions with Cornell back in 2016.
Brown has eclipsed the 194-point mark in three consecutive meets entering this weekend. The meet will be Brown's final competition at home this season, where they are a perfect 5-0 through three meets this year.
Last weekend in a quad meet at LIU, senior Abby Contello led Brown on vault, bars and beam, while setting season-highs on both bars and beam. Sophomore Julia Bedell scored 9.900 to win on floor, where the team posted a season-high. The last time Brown was at home on February 12, Bedell tied the school's floor record at 9.925.
