Women's Water Polo to Play Princeton and LIU on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's water polo will be on the road for two games on Sunday (Feb. 26) as the Bears play Princeton and LIU. Both games will be held on the campus of Princeton as part of the Princeton Invitational.
Brown will face off against Princeton at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday with the game being streamed on ESPN+. The Bears will close out the day against the Sharks from LIU at 4 p.m. and that game will not be streamed.
ABOUT BROWN
- Brown enters the weekend 9-1 and ranked No. 19 in the latest Varsity Poll. The Bears are coming off a perfect 4-0 weekend in California that included wins over Santa Clara and San Jose State.
- With the strong performance, Brown swept the CWPA Weekly Awards with Zoe King taking home Player of the Week, Alexandra Love earning Rookie of the Week and Shauna Franke earning Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
- The Bears are led on offense by King with 16 goals. Lily Weiser and Claire Pisani are tied for second on the team with 13 goals. Love has 12 goals and Ashley Penner has scored 10. Claire Eusey leads the team with 10 assists followed by nine from Bryn Gioffredi.
- Franke leads the goalies with 64 saves and Roxanne Hazuka has 24.
ABOUT PRINCETON
- Princeton is 7-1 on the season and is ranked No. 13 in the nation. This season, Princeton has wins over four ranked teams and its only loss was to No. 17 Wagner, the team that also handed Brown its only defeat this season.
- Princeton is led by Rachael Carver with seven goals and a team-best 17 assists. Kayla Yelensky has scored a team-high 18 goals on the year.
ABOUT LIU
- Long Island is 5-6 on the season and will play Bucknell Sunday morning before taking on Brown. The Sharks have lost three of their last four games with the lone win coming against Salem.
- In the first meeting this season against LIU, Brown earned a 13-6 win
