Women's Basketball Hosts Columbia for Senior Night

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball plays its final home game of the season against Columbia on Saturday (Feb. 25) with tip off scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The game will be streamed on ESPN3 with Mike Mancuso and Jake Levin on the call.
Prior to the game, Brown will honor its four seniors – Lexi Love, Myla Cox, Maddie Mullin and Dani Short.
ABOUT BROWN
- Brown is coming off an impressive win over Penn its last time on the court. The Bears snapped a 21-game losing streak to the Quakers with the victory. Brown overcame a 12-point deficit to beat Penn, the largest deficit overcome this season and the second time Brown has overcome a 10-point deficit (UMass Lowell - 11).
- The Bears played a very clean game against the Quakers, committing just two fouls and not allowing a free throw. It is the first time since at least 2010-11 that Brown has committed just two fouls and did not surrender a free throw.
- Grace Arnolie led the way for Brown with 20 points, hitting six threes. Arnolie has led the Bears in scoring in each of the last two games and six times this season.
- Alyssa Moreland scored a career-best 14 points, pulled down eight rebounds and had four blocks, three steals and two assists as the freshman filled up the statsheet against Penn.
- Ada Anamekwe continued her strong play after forcing her way into the starting lineup for Brown. Anamekwe finished the Penn game with 10 points and seven rebounds.
- With a win over Columbia, Brown will snap an eight game losing streak to the Lions. It will also be Brown's fifth Ivy League win of the year which would be the most wins in league play since 2016-17 when the Bears went 8-8.
ABOUT COLUMBIA
- Columbia is 21-4 and sits tied on top of the Ivy League with a 10-2 record. The Lions have won their last three games since falling to Princeton on Feb. 4.
- During the three-game win streak, Columbia has beaten Harvard by five and won their other two games by 28 (Yale) and 43 (Dartmouth).
- Abbey Hsu continues to lead the Tigers in scoring with 18.2 points per game. Hsu won her fourth Ivy League Player of the Week award this week.
- Columbia comes to College Hill with an offense that is 12 in the NCAA in scoring, eighth in three pointers made per game and fourth in assists per game. The Lions also sit 12th in the NCAA in rebounds per game.
FIRST MEETING
- Kyla Jones led Brown with 22 points in the first game of the year against Columbia. Jones also had seven rebounds and five assists in the loss.
- Bella Mauricio was second in scoring with 15 points in the 94-74 defeat.
- The Bears gave up 26 points to Abbey Hsu who went 7-for-11 from three. Five Lions scored in double-figures.
