Women's Hockey Starts February at RPI and Union

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown kicks off the month of February with a road weekend at RPI on Friday 6 p.m. and Union on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Bears need one win to match the 2016-17 team for the most victories in the last 10 years and two wins for the most in the past 16 seasons.

SCOUTING THE BEARS

Brown is coming off a pair of losses at home to No. 9 Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
Madie Stockfish scored in her second-straight game against Clarkson for her third of the season with assists from Sonja Bjornson and Lily Lacey.
Bjornson then picked up her first-career goal against St. Lawrence with helpers from Cameron Sikich and Maya Mangiafico.
Iginla leads the team in goals (11) and points (15), while teammates India McDadi and Cameron Sikich are tied for the most assists with six.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS

RPI starts the weekend with a 9-18-1 record and 4-11-1 in the ECAC. The Engineers are currently on a three-game winning streak, which is their longest streak of the season.
Before the last three wins, RPI was competitive against Cornell, falling 1-0, and dropped an overtime game to Clarkson, 2-1.
The Engineers came away with a 3-0 victory the last time against Brown on Dec. 10. Ellie Kaiser scored twice and Maddy Peterson picked up a goal as well.
Kaiser leads RPI with 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points, while Marah Wagner is second on the team in points with two goals and eight assists. Hannah Price (5-2-7), Maddy Papineau (3-4-7) and Nina Christof (2-5-7) all have seven points.
Senior goalie Amanda Rampado has a 2.07 goals against average and a .930 save percentage.
The Engineers are outscoring opponents 7-3 in this three-game winning streak.

SCOUTING THE DUTCHWOMEN

Union will face Yale on Friday night before meeting the Bears on Saturday. The Dutchwomen are 11-16-1 and 4-11-1 in the ECAC.
The Dutchwomen are 1-3 in their last four games with losses to Dartmouth and RPI twice.
The last time Union and Brown met it was the Bears coming away with a 3-1 win on Dec. 9. Madie Stockfish, Anna Hurd and Jade Iginla all scored for Brown, while Emily King picked up the goal for the Dutchwomen.
First-year Riley Walsh leads the team in goals (12) and points (18), while junior Celeste Beaudoin is tied for the team lead in assists (11) with first-year Stephanie Bourque.
Sophomore Sophie Matsoukas has appeared in all 26 games this season posting a 3.16 goals against average and a .908 save percentage this season.
