Women's Hockey Falls at St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. -Â The Brown women's hockey team fell 4-0 at No. 7 St. Lawrence on Saturday afternoon to wrap up its ECAC road trip.
St. Lawrence scored two goals in the first period, added one in the second and closed things out with one in the third. The Bears drop to 5-6-1 and 4-5-1 in the ECAC, while the Saints improve to 12-3-0 and 6-0-0 in the conference.
The Saints scored 5:09 into the game on a goal from freshman Kennedy Emerson from senior Julia Gosling and junior Taylor Lum. Brown finished with seven shots on goal in the first period.
Two more goals came in the second for St. Lawrence. Junior Sarah Marchand found the back of the net at 13:53 from Lum, and Lum later scored assisted by Gosling and Marchand to give the Saints a 3-0 lead after two.
Marchand and Gosling then worked together for the fourth and final goal of the night for St. Lawrence with 4:41 to go in the game. Brown had nine shots on goal in both the second and third periods.
The Bears are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. to take on Providence College at Meehan Auditorium.
