PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo closes out its regular season with two games on Saturday. The Bears will begin the day against Fordham and take on Connecticut College to close out the day.
The game against Fordham is set to start at 12:30 p.m. with the game against Connecticut College beginning at 2 p.m. Both contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
Saturday's games will be water polo's cancer awareness game and the coaches will be wearing blue to recognize the fight against prostate cancer. In between games, Brown will also honor its senior class.
Brown enters the weekend ranked No. 18 in the ACWPC poll No. 20 in the CWPA Poll. The Bears will take on Fordham, who is ranked 15th in both polls.
The Bears are coming off a tough 1-goal loss at Harvard that ended a three-game winning streak. Brown will look for its second win of the season against Fordham as the Bears beat the Rams 18-13 during the Bruno Classic to start the season.
This will be the final tune-up for Brown before the Bears take part in the NWPC Tournament next weekend, hosted by Harvard. Brown will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will take on Long Island in the first round on Friday (Nov. 17) at 5 p.m.
Fordham enters the weekend 20-7 overall and is a perfect 12-0 in conference play. The Rams have won their last four games.
Connecticut College is 2-16 on the season and will be the No. 7 seed in the NWPC Tournament.
