
Women's Hockey Starts ECAC Play at Quinnipiac and Princeton

The Bears are coming off a home-and-home split against Holy Cross. Brown took the first game, 4-3 in OT at home, and fell on the road 2-1 in OT. Quinnipiac is 6-0 on the season with two wins each over Maine, UNH and Providence, while Princeton is 2-0 with wins over Robert Morris and has a game to play on Friday against Yale.
Scouting the Bears
- Brown is coming off a split against Holy Cross to open the season. The Bears first won in overtime at home, then fell in overtime on the road.
- Sophomore India McDadi finished with two goals in the home opener, including the winner in overtime. She leads the team in the category.
- Sophomores Jade Iginla and Ellie Gauvin each have one goal and one assist for two points on the year. Both scored in the 4-3 home win against Holy Cross.
- Freshman Elodie Roy netted her first-career goal at Holy Cross with assists from senior Anna Gallagher and freshman Sam Broz.
- Senior Kaley Doyle and freshman Rory Edwards split the first two games in goal. Doyle has a 2.98 goals against average and .870 save percentage, while Edwards has a 1.93 GAA and .909 SV%.
Scouting the Bobcats
- Quinnipiac is off to a hot start with a perfect 6-0-0 record with series sweeps over Maine, New Hampshire and Providence.
- The Bobcats were picked to finish third in the ECAC preseason poll.
- Grad students Sadie Peart and Jess Schryver and senior Nina Steigauf lead the way with four goals each.
- Grad student Logan Angers has 137 saves with a .99 GAA and .958 save percentage.
- Quinnipiac is outscoring opponents, 21-6.
Scouting the Tigers
- Princeton is off to a 2-0-0 record after sweeping Robert Morris at home by scores of 6-2 and 4-0.
- The Tigers were picked seventh in the ECAC preseason poll.
- Senior Sarah Fillier and sophomores Emerson O'Leary and Jane Kuehl each have two goals to lead the team, while sophomore Katherine Khramtsov has one goal and a team-leading three assists.
- Sophomore Taylor Hyland and freshman Uma Corneia split the first two games in goal. Hyland has a 2.00 GAA and .867 SV%. Corneia did not allow a goal and made 24 saves.
