Brown is Back Home to Take on No. 9 Clarkson and St. Lawrence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Brown women's hockey hosts its first ECAC weekend since December 9th and 10th against No. 9 Clarkson Friday night at 6 p.m. and St. Lawrence on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Bears most recently broke a seven-game losing streak last Saturday with an overtime win at Princeton, who is receiving votes in the USCHO poll.
For Friday night's game, the first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free Brown beanie and the Narragansett Beer Garden will be at the game.

SCOUTING BROWN (6-14-1, 4-10-0 ECAC)
- Brown picked up its first win since Dec. 9 last Saturday at Princeton, 4-3, in overtime.
- Madie Stockfish scored the game-winning goal with 2:16 remaining in the extra frame.
- Cameron Sikich, Jade Iginla and Ellie Gauvin picked up goals as well for the Bears. Sikich, Iginla and Stockfish went unassisted. Cassidy Piersiak, India McDadi and Sikich all were credited with assists.
- Iginla has scored in two-straight games and is up to 11 goals on the season to lead the team.
- Clarkson enters Friday as the No. 9 team in the country with a 20-6-2 record, a 9-4-1 mark in the ECAC, and is 4-0-1 in its last five games.
- The four conference losses for the Golden Knights are against Colgate (2-1), Cornell (8-1), Quinnipiac (4-0) and Yale (3-1).
- It was a close game the last time Clarkson and Brown met with thr Golden Knights coming away with a 2-1 win on Jan. 7. Maddie Morgan scored the first goal from Jade Iginla and India McDadi. Nicole Gosling evened the score from Stephanie Markowski and Gabrielle David later in the first and Darcie Lappan picked up the game winner in the second from Anne Cherkowski and David.
- David leads Clarkson with 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points. Lappan is second on the team in points (12-23-35) and Cherkowski is third (15-18-33).
- The Golden Knights are ninth in the nation with 88 goals and sixth in the country with only 1.61 goals allowed per game.
- Junior goalie Michelle Pasiechnyk is sixth in the nation in goals against average (1.406) and sixth in save percentage (.937).
- St. Lawrence is 11-15-2 nd 5-7-2 in the ECAC heading into the weekend.
- The Saints are on a tough stretch with a 0-3-1 record in its last four games. The tie came against Clarkson last Friday.
- The last time St. Lawrence and Brown met it was the Saints who came out on top, 5-0, on Jan. 6 at Meehan Auditorium.
- Julia Gosling leads the Saints with 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points, while Abby Hustler has 10 points and 13 assists for 23 points and Anna Segedi (10-8-18) and Kristina Bahl (6-12-18) each have 18 points.
- Goalie Lucy Morgan has a 2.26 goals against average and a .950 save percentage.Â
