Women's Rugby Hosts Mount St. Mary's Saturday at Marvel Field

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (1-1-1) welcome the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers (0-2) to Marvel Field for a Saturday match on ESPN+. Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will stream on ESPN+.

FAN ZONE
- A fan shuttle will run from Faunce Arch and the Athletics Parking Lot to Marvel Field. The shuttles will depart for Marvel Field at 10:20 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. with return times set for 12:50 p.m. and 1:10 p.m.
- The first 100 fans in attendance at Marvel Field will receive Brown Athletics sunglasses.
- The Brown Band and Elvy from the Brown Department of Public Safety will also be in attendance.
- Brown enters the weekend with a 1-1-1 NIRA record with a win over Princeton, a tie against Sacred Heart, and a loss at Quinnipiac to begin the season.
- Noelle Lewis leads the Bears with six tries through three matches. Lewis recorded a career-high four tries in Brown's win at Princeton.
- Akilah Cathey and Mahdia Parker are tied for second on the team with three tries apiece.
- First-year Julia Murray has racked up 24 points off 12 conversions.
- Mount St. Mary's enters Saturday looking for their first NIRA win of the season after beginning the season with losses to Army and Harvard.
- The Mountaineers have recorded two tries this season with Kaylen Thomas and Holly Click touching the ball down for scores.
- The Mountaineers took a 24-14 win over Virginia in non-conference play last weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
- Saturday marks the third meeting between the Bears and Mountaineers since 2014. Brown took a 49-7 home win over Mount St. Mary's in 2019 and a 34-10 win over the Mountaineers in 2021.
