Sailing to begin competition at Fleet Race National Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing teams are set to compete at the Fleet Race National Championships over the next week and a half. The coed team will compete from Thursday, May 19 through Sunday, May 22, while the women's competition runs from Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26. Both events will be held at Tulane University in New Orleans, La.
Both the women's and open (coed) events are made up of a pair of semifinal rounds which each semifinal featuring 18 teams. Both Brown teams are the top seed in their respective semifinals. The top nine teams from each semifinal will advance to a final round.
Competing for the Bears at the women's event will be Caroline Bayless, Olivia Belda, Blaire McCarthy, Madeleine McGrath, Nora Ong, Julia Reynolds, Emilia Ruth, Brielle Willoughby, and Savannah Young. The coed team will be represented by Belda, McGrath, Emma Montgomery, Jack Murphy, Connor Nelson, Ong, Reynolds, and Hunter Zonnenberg.
Both of these lineups are subject to change.
