
No. 2 Women’s Sailing Finishes Second at Duplin Team Race, No. 4 Open Team Wins Boston College Team Race

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown sailing teams completed another weekend of racing in their spring season, competing in four events across Saturday and Sunday.
The No. 2 women's sailing team finished second out of ten teams in the Duplin Team Race hosted by Tufts. The Bears finished with a 12-4 record overall, finishing second to Yale who closed out the event with a 13-3 record.
The No. 4 open sailing team competed in three different events, highlighted by their first place finish in the Boston College Team Race on Sunday. Brown finished with a 9-1 overall record, winning the event.
The open sailing team also raced in the Roger Williams Team Race on Saturday, finishing third out of six teams. The Bears closed out the event with a 6-4 record behind Boston College (8-2) and Roger Williams (10-0).
The open team closed out the weekend with a fifth place finish out of nine teams in the Friis Team Race Trophy. Brown finished the two-day event with a 7-9 record.
Up Next
The Bears will continue their training in St. Petersburg, Fla. before returning home for another weekend of racing. The open team will compete in the Marchiando Interconference and Jumbo Team Race over the weekend, and the women's team will host the Dellenbaugh Trophy on both Saturday and Sunday.
