The Brown women's sailing team continued their strong season with a close second place finish at the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race Trophy at home this weekend. The Bears finished with a 13-3 record in the 12 team event that featured almost all of the top women's teams in college sailing. Brown fell to the defending National Champions and first-ranked Stanford by one win, with the Cardinal finishing with a 14-2 record. The Bears defeated Stanford both times they raced over the weekend, marking Stanford's first and only losses of the spring season in the women's circuit. Brown beat out second-ranked Yale who finished third with an 11-5 record.
The No. 8 open team finished seventh out of 16 teams at the Marchiando Team Race, the premiere open event of the weekend, at MIT with a 13-5 record. The Bears were just one win out of a top-four finish, competing against some of the top teams in the nation. Brown had a strong showing at the end of the event, winning their last four races in the deep field. Harvard ultimately won the event with a 13-2 record.
The open team also competed in the Jumbo Team Race hosted by Tufts. Brown finished a strong third place overall in the eight team event, with a 13-9 record.
