Brown Set to Compete at USAG Nationals Beginning on Friday

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Brown gymnastics team will compete for the final time this season starting on Friday evening at the USA Gymnastics National Championships, hosted by Cornell University.
The USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships are open to Division I, II and III schools whose programs offer fewer than seven-and-a-half full scholarships.
The Bears will be the No. 5 seed for the meet and will compete in the second session on April 8 at 7 p.m. against Cornell, Yale and Texas Women's University, with the top two teams from each of the sessions advancing to Saturday's final round, which is slated for a 6:55 p.m. start.
The top five individuals from each event in each session (two session format) will also qualify to compete for individual championships on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m.
The Bears are coming off a school record 195.975 performance to take second place at the GEC Championships on March 19. The Bears had eight individuals earn all-conference honors for their performances, while the team also set school records on both bars and floor. Senior Mei Li Costa also qualified and competed at the NCAA Regionals on the uneven bars at Auburn last weekend.
