Women's Rugby Heads to Cambridge for 2022 Ivy 7s Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Fresh off a Grizzly Cup win at the Brown 7s Tournament two weeks ago, Brown women's rugby heads to Cambridge, Massachusetts to compete in the Ivy 7s Championship on Saturday (Apr. 23).
Saturday's games will be played on Mignone Field on the campus of Harvard University. The men's Ivy 7s Championship will take place simultaneously. Games played on the main field will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.
Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton, and Yale join host Harvard in the tournament on Saturday.
Brown's pool play begins at 9:40 a.m. against Dartmouth and continues at noon against Harvard and concludes at 2:20 p.m. against Princeton.
The Crimson look to capture its fourth Ivy 7s crown in five seasons this Saturday. Harvard previously won the Championship in 2016, 2017, and 2019 with Dartmouth taking the hardware in 2018.
In its most recent action, Brown welcomed 11 teams from eight programs to Berylson Family Fields. The Bears competed in the top Grizzly Division against Army, Quinnipiac, and Sacred Heart, taking the win over the Pioneers before falling to the Cadets and Bobcats in pool play.
Brown jumped to an early lead and took a 24-5 win over Army in the semifinals before clawing out a 26-21 win over Quinnipiac for the title.
Following the Ivy 7s, the Bears compete in the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s Championship on Saturday (May 14) and Sunday (May 15) at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia.
