Women's tennis tripped up in Ivy opener at Yale
4/2/2022 4:59:00 PM | Women's Tennis
NEW HAVEN, CONN. – The Brown women's tennis team fell to Yale 4-1 Saturday afternoon in the season's first Ivy League match.
Sophia Reddy was victorious at No. 3 singles, while Nora Lee and Ali Benedetto pulled off a win in doubles, but the rest of the Bears fell as the Bulldogs claimed the victory.
"Yale played with more courage than us in today's match," head coach Lucie Schmidhauser said. "We had many opportunities to close out games and matches, but we didn't play with enough confidence to finish. Our team is young and I hope they will step up to the challenge in our next match. Sophie Reddy was a true leader with her poised and controlled play and I look forward to her continued leadership. It's also great to have Nora Lee back in the lineup and improving after an injury that kept her off the court for six months."
