Women's tennis falls to Penn

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team fell to Penn 4-0 Saturday.
"We came out with great energy in doubles and were one point away from going into singles with a one-point lead," head coach Lucie Schmidhauser said. "I think we had some difficulty bouncing back from that situation and it took some time on most courts to get into the match. Britany Lau played an inspiring set and a half against an extremely high-level opponent and it was nice to see her play with so much clarity and fight. Overall, we need to stay positive, keep fighting for every point and trust our training as we continue to learn how to embrace being uncomfortable and to fight through adversity."
Lindsey Hofflander and Sophia Reddy won their doubles match, but were the only Brown team to do so. In singles, Britany Lau was tied at one set apiece before the overall team results was decided.
