Sailing grabs trio of top three finishes

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing team compiled three third place finishes this weekend.
The women's team claimed third out of 15 teams at the NEISA Women's Championship, while the coed team took third of 10 at the Oberg Trophy and third of 15 at the Thompson Trophy.
The weekend was highlighted by the coed's third place finish at the Thompson Trophy, including an A-Division win by Connor Nelson and Julia Reynolds. Overall, the Bears finished with a score of 293, just 13 points behind second place Tufts. Yale won with a 242.
At the Oberg Trophy, the coed team finished no worse than fourth in all three divisions, including a second-place result in C-Division. Overall, the Bears scored a 208 with Boston University taking first at 185.
At the NEISA Women's Championship, Brown finished in third with a 165. The Bears took second in B-Division and fourth in A-Division. Dartmouth came in first with a 132.
Competition continues next weekend with the Women's Team Race National Championship. The coed team will compete at three different events.
