Women's basketball celebrates senior day against Yale

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball will finish up its season with a matchup against Yale on Saturday (March 5). The game against the Bulldogs will tipoff at 2 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center and will be streamed on ESPN+.
Before the game, Brown will honor its lone senior on the roster, Ashley Ducharme.

ABOUT BROWN
Brown will close out its season with a home contest against Yale. The Bears will honor senior Ashley Ducharme before the game against the Bulldogs.
The Bears fell at Columbia 56-85 in their last game. Brown allowed Columbia to use a 15-0 run in the second quarter to take control of the game.
Isabella Mauricio scored 22 points in the loss. It was the second-straight game that Mauricio has scored 20 points, marking the first time this season that a Brown player has scored 20 points in back-to-back games.
Kyla Jones was second on the team with 19 points against the Lions. Jones has scored in double-figures in each of her last five games and in nine of her last ten contests.
The offense ran through Mauricio and Jones as the duo combined for 41 of the 56 points for Brown and at one time in the game had 41 of Brown's 51 points. The duo took a combined 45 of Brown's 64 field goal attempts.
Mya Murray finished the game with a team-high eight rebounds but the Bears managed just 23 rebounds in the game, tying a season low that was set at Bryant in the third game of the season. Brown was outrebounded 51-23 by Columbia.
Mauricio has been lighting it up from three for Brown, hitting a three in all but one game this season. Mauricio's lone game without a three came against Wagner on Nov. 20 when she went 0-for-5. Mauricio has 20-straight games with a made three, the longest single-season streak since Sophie Bikofsky made a three in 25-straight games in 2013-14. She also has four games with five made threes on the year.
The first game of the year against Yale was a two-point loss for Brown has the Bulldogs hit a shot with less than a second left on the clock to win the game 69-67. Mauricio led the Bears with 23 points, followed by Jones (17) and Charlotte Jewel (11).
BROWN IN NCAA RANKS
As a team, the Bears are 54th in the NCAA with 9.5 steals per game. Jones is 25th in the NCAA with 2.7 steals per contest.
Mauricio ranks 21st in 3FG/game, hitting 2.8 shots from deep per outing. The freshman is also 103rd in the NCAA in 3FG% (35.0) and is in the top-200 in scoring per game at 14.6 ppg.
ABOUT YALE
Yale enters the weekend with a 15-10 overall record and 8-5 mark in the Ivy League. The Bulldogs will be the No. 3 seed in Ivy Madness next weekend.
Camilla Emsbo leads he Bulldogs with 14.1 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game. She has also blocked 54 shots on the season, 41 more than any other player on the team. Emsbo missed the first game between the two teams this year.
Jenna Clark is second on the team with 11.7 points per game and lead the team with 151 assists.
