Softball hosts Bryant on Wednesday for a doubleheader

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball plays host to Ocean State foe Bryant for a doubleheader on Wednesday (March 30). The day will start at 2 p.m. at the Brown Softball Field.
Both games of the doubleheader will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
The Bears come into the weekend with a 7-14 overall record and a 1-5 mark in Ivy League play. Brown went 1-2 against Penn over the weekend.
Elayna Tsiouplis and Katie O'Leary had strong weeks last week and both Bears hit .500 in four games played. Tsiouplis led the Bears last week with seven hits and five RBI. Tsiouplis and O'Leary each finished with a home run.
Kat Clum and Brianna Rodriguez each collected six hits last week and each player had two doubles. Clum finished the week with four RBI and Rodriguez had a triple and three RBI.
Clum leads the team this season with 16 hits and is second on the team with four doubles, behind Rodriguez with five.
Lauren Innerst posted a career-high nine strikeouts against Penn, throwing six innings in the first game against the Quakers.
In Brown's win against Penn on Saturday, Alexis Guevara earned a complete game win, striking out a career-high six batters.
After a complete game shutout against Holy Cross, junior pitcher Erin Elgas leads the team with an 0.42 ERA having allowed just one run in 16.2 innings pitched.
Both Alexis Guevara and Lauren Innerst have sub-3.00 ERAs and Guevara leads the team with 28 strikeouts in 40 innings
ABOUT BRYANT
Bryant is 4-14 on the season and 3-3 in the NEC. The Bulldogs lost their last game 11-7 to Long Island, splitting a doubleheader on Sunday.
Bryant is hitting just .210 as a team this season and is allowing opponents to hit .293 on the year.
Sarah McKeveny leads the team with a .333 batting average and is the only hitting to be hitting above .300 in the Bulldogs lineup. Aleix Hudson leads the team with 13 hits, two home runs and eight RBI.
Kylie Kenney leads the pitching staff with a 2.72 ERA, 38.2 innings pitched and 38 strikeouts. Kenney is 2-6 on the season with seven starts.
