Fencing set for NCAA Northeast Regionals on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown women's fencing is set to take part in the NCAA Northeast Regionals on Sunday (March 13) at Vassar College. The Bears will have nine athletes compete in the competition.
Coming off a strong year where the Bears posted a 16-1 team record in three competitions, Brown will now compete for a chance to make the NCAA Championships.
Brown will have team-high four fencers in the foil competition. Anika Breker, Samantha Chon, Anisha Kasi and Anna Susini will all compete for the Bears. Breker led Brown with 61 individual wins over the season and Kasi posted 51. Both Chon and Susini also had winning records, posting 34 and 19 wins, respectively.
Arianna Baffa, Audrey Taylor and Sofia Yee-Wadsworth will compete in the epee. Yee-Wadsworth finished the year with 60 wins, followed by Baffa with 54 and Taylor with 42.
Case Chan and Rebecca Whang are the only two Bears in the sabre. Chan tallied 54 wins this year and Whang posted 44.
