Women's basketball heads to Columbia for final road game of the season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball will hit the road for the final time this season for a matchup against Columbia on Saturday (Feb. 26). The game against the Lions will start at 2 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT THE BEARS
Brown is coming into the game having dropped a pair of road contests at Princeton and at Penn last weekend.
Isabella Mauricio continues to lead the Bears with 14.3 points per game and has hit a three in 19-straight games. Mauricio is 22nd in the NCAA with 2.7 made threes per game.
Mauricio scored 21 points against Penn, marking the sixth time this season the freshman has reached the 20-point mark.
Kyla Jones reached double figures in both games last weekend and has scored in double figures in each of her last four games.
Jones had a strong weekend on the defensive end collecting six steals and now leads the league with 2.7 steals per game. Jones is currently 22nd in the NCAA in steals per game.
The Bears have shot at least 40 percent from the field in five of its last six games and have outshot their opponents in five of their last seven games.
VS COLUMBIA
The first meeting against the Lions this year was a 60-52 victory for Columbia. Jones led Brown with 19 points and Mauricio finished with 10. Amanda Latkany scored nine points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Brown cut the lead to one at the end of the third quarter and after Columbia started the fourth with a run, the Bears cut the lead back to three but were never able to get any closer.
ABOUT COLUMBIA
Columbia is 19-5 overall and 10-2 in Ivy League play. The Lions are coming off a loss to Princeton in their last game. Against Princeton, Columbia was outscored 26-8 in the first quarter and the Tigers led 47-21 at the half.
Abbey Hsu leads the team with 15.9 points per game and is shooting 36.7% from three. Kaitlyn Davis is filling the box score for Columbia with 13.1 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 1.5 blocks per game.
