
Softball picked eighth in Ivy League preseason poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown softball was picked to finish eighth in the Ivy League softball preseason poll, the league announced on Monday (Feb. 14).
The Bears earned 23 points in the poll, voted on by sports information directors and media members from around the league.
Columbia earned the top spot on the poll with 113 points and five first-place votes. Penn was second in the poll with 105 points and three first-place votes. Harvard picked up the most first-place votes with seven but earned 104 points for a third-place selection. Princeton picked up a lone first-place vote and was picked fourth with 77 points.
Dartmouth and Yale tied for fifth with 59 points and Cornell was picked sixth with 36 points.
Brown will begin its 2022 season with a trip to Florida International for five games. The Bears will play Drexel to open up the season on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9 a.m.
