Brown Heads to UNH for Saturday Night Dual

DURHAM, N.H. – One week after posting a new season-high score, the Brown women's gymnastics team will head to New Hampshire to square off against UNH in the team's first dual meet of the season on Saturday evening.

Last weekend, Brown scored a season-high 192.875 points to take home second place in a quad meet hosted by West Chester. The Bears were led by senior captain Mei Li Costa, who won both the bars and the vault, and broke the Brown program record on bars with a score of 9.925. Her efforts earned her the GEC's Performance of the Week.

Freshman Julia Bedell also won a weekly award from the GEC, being named the Newcomer of the Week after strong showings on all three of her events, finishing second behind Costa on bars with a score of 9.750, in addition to posting a 9.675 score on beam and 9.825 on floor.

Next weekend, the Bears will host the Rumble and Tumble at Pizzitola on Sunday afternoon, February 20 at 1 p.m. against RIC and LIU. Brown's wrestling team will square off against Sacred Heart simultaneously in the dual-hosted event.
