
Brown Welcomes St. Lawrence and No. 9/10 Clarkson for Final Homestand

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's hockey team will host its final two home games of the 2021-22 season this weekend when they welcome St. Lawrence on Friday evening, and No. 9/10 Clarkson on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
Saturday will serve as Senior Day with the Bears recognizing the six members of the Class of 2022, in addition to welcoming back the 2021 Senior Class.

Brown will close out the regular season on the road at Princeton next Friday evening, followed by a trip to Quinnipiac on Saturday.

SCOUTING BROWN (5-17-3, 5-11-2 ECAC)
- Unbeaten in four of their last five games, Brown is currently in ninth place in the ECAC standings with 18 points, five points behind eighth-place Princeton for the final spot in the upcoming ECAC Tournament. The Tigers have a game in-hand.
- Brown's upperclassmen have stepped up in a big way during the Bears current run, including grad student Megan Forrest who has a point in seven straight contests, and has moved into the team lead with nine assists.
- Senior captain Shay Maloney leads the team with 10 goals and 18 points, and has at least one point in five of her last six games.
- Sophomore Madie Stockfish is coming off a two-assist performance last Sunday at Dartmouth and has three points over her last two games.
- Freshman Anna Hurd had her second two-goal game of the season in last Friday's win at Union.
- Brown scored its most goals in a game since Oct. 2016 last Friday in a 6-1 win at Union.
- On Sunday, the Bears overcame a multi-goal deficit for the first time this season, scoring twice in the third period to skate to a 3-3 tie at Dartmouth.
- Brown is scoring 1.9 goals per game this year, a +0.8 difference from 2019-20. The team is also allowing exactly one fewer goal per contest this season (3.1) compared to two years ago.
SCOUTING ST. LAWRENCE (14-10-5, 10-5-2 ECAC)
- Junior Goaltender Lucy Morgan earned her third Goaltender of the Week honor last week after posting a 3-1 record in four games last week with a 1.28 GAA and .958 save percentage. For the season, she holds a 1.56 GAA (11th nationally) and .945 save pct. (4th nationally).
- SLU ranks fourth in the ECAC standings, 4.5 points behind Clarkson, and one point ahead of nationally ranked Quinnipiac, who the Saints beat twice at home last weekend, 2-1 and 5-1.
- Freshman forward Abby Hustler leads the team with 21 points and is tied for the team lead with nine goals, while leading the way with 12 assists.
- Sophomore forward Aly McLeod adds nine goals, nine assists and 18 points.
- Nara Elia (8G, 9A) rounds out the top three scorers with 17 points.
- The Golden Knights went 2-1 last week, which included wins over Princeton and Colgate, and an OT loss against Quinnipiac. Their seven goals against Princeton was a season-high.
- Graduate forward Caitrin Longeran ranks ninth in the country with 43 points and 26 assists this season, and is tied for the most goals on the team with 17.
- Gabrielle David also has 17 goals to go with 18 assists and 35 points.
- Brooke McQuigge is coming off a four-point game with two goals and two assists against Princeton.
- Sophomore Michelle Pasiechnyk has started 26 games between the pipes for Clarkson, holding a 1.55 GAA and .935 save pct.
- As a team, Clarkson is averaging 3.1 goals per game and allowing 1.7.
