
Jack Kelly '16 Named to U.S. National Team for 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former Brown lacrosse standout and two-time All-American Jack Kelly '16 earned a spot on the USA National Team for the 2023 World Lacrosse Men's Championship.
Kelly is one of two goalies on the 23-man roster alongside Blaze Riorden, a 2016 UAlbany product. The former Brown goalie is one of six returners from the 2018 gold medal squad, joining Trevor Baptiste, Jesse Bernhardt, Michael Ehrhardt, Rob Pannell, and Tom Schreiber.
The 2023 World Lacrosse Championships are set to begin on June 21, 2023 and continue through July 1 at San Diego State University.
Kelly currently plays professionally for the Redwoods LC in the Premier Lacrosse League and finished his third season with the club in 2022.
He spent three years with the MLL's Denver Outlaws (2016-18), helping the team win the 2016 and 2018 MLL Championship. Kelly was named the 2016 MLL Rookie of the Year and the 2017 MLL Goalie of the Year.
Kelly captained the team as a junior and senior in 2015 and 2016 at Brown, earning First Team All-Ivy honors both seasons. As a senior in 2016, Kelly backstopped the Bears to a Final Four berth and 19-3 overall record. The West Islip, New York native was named the Nation's Outstanding Goalie and picked up First Team All-America honors from USILA after Honorable Mention laurels as a junior.
Lastly, Kelly was one of nine Senior CLASS Award recipients in 2016, given to outstanding student-athlete in the NCAA.
