PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (8-3, 1-2 Ivy) tied the game at 2-2 in the third quarter, but it was the Columbia Lions (3-7, 1-2 Ivy) who scored the overtime winner to take a 3-2 conference win Saturday afternoon at Goldberger Family Field.

Lucy Adams and Lexi Pellegrino found the back of the net while Jodie Brine finished with three saves.

"We spent most of the game in our attacking third of the field and I'm really happy with that," said head coach Britt Broady. "But our execution on corners and our execution in the circle to get quality shots was lacking. When you're playing a hungry team like Columbia you need to execute. We have to hold ourselves a little more accountable for our roles and then connect the dots from there."

Annabelle Brodeur put the Bears ahead nine minutes into the first quarter as she collected a pass from Sam Petrucco and quickly turned and beat Brine with a shot.

After a scoreless second quarter, Adams tied the game at 1-1 halfway through the third quarter. Adams re-started play and moved to the top of the circle and ripped a top-shelf shot to beat Columbia goalkeeper Katie Wimmer (10 saves).

Less than three minutes later, MK Myklebust put the Lions back ahead with her fourth goal of the season with an assist from Maya Walker.

The Bears answered quickly to even the score as Pellegrino beat Wimmer off a penalty corner set. Mikayla Walsh and Lindsey Ross assisted on the goal.

A scoreless fourth quarter sent the Bears to their fifth overtime game of the season and second in Ivy League play. Elizabeth Brissette found the golden goal 2:03 into the extra frame to give the Lions the win.

GAME NOTES

Adams pushed her point streak to six games with her third quarter goal. The Andover, Massachusetts native has three goals and three assists during the streak and has five goals and four assists through 11 games this season.
After a scoreless game against Wagner, Pellegrino scored her team-leading tenth goal of the season. The Westwood, Massachusetts native has at least a point in 10-of-11 games this season and a goal in nine games.
Ross and Walsh both picked up their team-leading ninth assist of the season off Pellegrino's marker.
Brown finished the game with an 18-12 edge in shots and a 12-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Bears also held the penalty corner advantage, 11-6.

Brown hits the road and heads to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Quakers (3-8, 1-2 Ivy) on Saturday (Oct. 15) before taking on the Temple Owls (10-3, 3-1 Big East) on Sunday (Oct. 16).
