Field Hockey Heads to Philadelphia to Take on Penn, Temple

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (8-3, 1-2 Ivy League) hit the road to take on the Penn Quakers (3-8, 1-2 Ivy League) on Saturday (Oct. 15) before taking on the Temple Owls (10-3, 3-1 Big East) on Sunday (Oct. 16).
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. while Sunday's game is slated to begin at 1 p.m. Both games will stream on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with an 8-3 overall record and 1-2 Ivy League conference mark. All three of Brown's losses have come in overtime this season.
- Offensively, Brown is led by freshman Lexi Pellegrino, who leads the team with 10 goals and 23 points. Pellegrino's 0.91 goals per game leads the Ivy League and is tied for 10th in the NCAA.
- Freshman Lucy Adams ranks second on the team in scoring with five goals and 14 points. The Andover, Massachusetts native has recorded points in six straight games dating back to the neutral site contest against VCU (Sept. 18).
- Lindsey Ross and Mikayla Walsh are tied for the team-lead with nine assists apiece and rank third and fourth on the team in points with 14 and 13, respectively. The duo lead the Ivy League with 0.82 assists per game and rank sixth in the NCAA.
- Senior Jodie Brine has made all 11 starts between the pipes and holds a .733 save percentage and 1.43 goals against average along with three shutouts.
- The Quakers enter the weekend with a 3-8 overall record and 1-2 Ivy League conference mark. Six of Penn's eight losses have come against ranked opponents, notably including top-ranked Northwestern (4-3 loss) and second-ranked North Carolina (4-0 loss).
- Within Ivy League play, Penn dropped consecutive 2-1 decisions against seventh-ranked Princeton and 15th-ranked Harvard before taking a 2-0 win over Cornell last weekend.
- Courtney Kenah and Meghan Ward are tied for the team-lead with four goals and nine points apiece. Gracyn Banks, a unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection in 2021, ranks third on the team with two goals and six points.
- Frederique Wollaert has made eight starts between the pipes for Penn and holds a .729 save percentage and 1.73 goals against average.
- Saturday's game marks the 45th meeting between Brown and Penn in a series dating back to 1977.
- Penn holds a 33-8-3 all-time record against Brown. The Bears look to snap a 10-game losing streak against the Quakers on Saturday.
- Temple enters the weekend with a 10-3 overall record and 3-1 Big East conference mark. The Owls reached #24 in the NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll before falling to unranked Penn in late September.
- The Owls have rattled off consecutive wins over Georgetown, Drexel, and Providence since falling to the cross-town Quakers.
- Tess Muller leads the team with 18 points split between five goals and eight assists. McKenna Burkhardt leads the Owls with eight goals and ranks second on the team with 17 points. Annie Judge leads Temple in assists (9).
- Molly Frey has started all 13 games in goal for Temple and holds a .688 save percentage and 1.10 goals against average. Frey's goals against average ranks 10th in the NCAA.
- Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between Brown and Temple.
