Women's soccer heads to Princeton Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team will head to Princeton this Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. to continue Ivy League action.
The Bears are the only Ivy team to open the conference season 2-0. The Tigers on the other hand, dropped their opening game to Yale before taking down Dartmouth last week.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (7-2-1, 2-0-0 Ivy)
- During their first two games of Ivy play, the Bears have outscored their competition 5-1 after a 4-1 win over Dartmouth and a 1-0 shutout of Columbia.
- Brittany Raphino has six points in those two games thanks to two goals and two assists. She has been involved in all five Ivy goals after pressuring the defense into an own goal at Dartmouth.
- Brown has earned 76 corners through 10 games this season for an average of 7.6 per game, the sixth-best in the nation. Princeton is tied for first in the nation with 7.91 corners per game.
- The Tigers are winners of three of their previous four games with the lone loss coming in the form of a 1-0 setback at Yale. The wins have all been shutouts: 1-0 over Delaware and 2-0 against both Bucknell and Dartmouth.
- Freshman Pietra Tordin leads Princeton this season with a team-high 13 points from six goals and one assist. Tordin and Heather MacNab (five goals) have accounted for 11 of the team's 17 strikes on the season.
- Ella Gantman and Tyler McCamey have split time in goal this season for the Tigers. Gantman's .67 goals against average and .714 save percentage are the better of the two marks, but McCamey has logged more minutes at 720 compared to Gantman's 270.
- The Bears lead the all-time series against the Tigers at 22-18-4, including the last three in a row.
- In last year's matchup in Providence, Brown pulled off a 3-1 victory. Raphino, Seelenfreund, and Kayla Duran all recorded goals for the Bears, while Zoe Maxwell assisted twice.
- The Tigers' goal came on a penalty kick in the 66th minute when they were already trailing 3-0.
