Water polo hosts Harvard and MIT on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo hosts two games on Saturday (Oct. 8) as the Bears continue conference play. Brown will take on No. 13 Harvard at 10 a.m. and MIT at 5 p.m. at the Coleman Aquatics Center.
The first 100 fans to the Harvard game will receive a Brown Bears water bottle and both games will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
- Brown sits at 8-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play after beating Iona in its last match. The Bears are receiving votes in the most recent CWPA Men's Top-20 poll.
- Freshman Ilias Stothart continues to lead the Bears with 28 goals, followed by Gabe Chang (25) and Leo Berkman (23). Chang leads Brown in points having handed out eight assists this season.
- Cole Atwell has been filling up the statsheet for the Bears with 14 goals, a team-high 17 assists and 16 steals.
- On defense Berkman and Leo Berry are tied for the team lead with 17 steals.
- In goal, Kole Newman leads the goalies with 92 saves. Simeon Dong is second on the team with 38 saves.
- Harvard is 7-4 on the year and 2-1 in conference play with wins over Iona and St. Francis Brooklyn. The loss for the Crimson was a 6-9 defeat at Princeton.
- Brown is 94-33 all-time against Harvard, but did beat the Crimson in the third-place game at last year's NWPC Tournament, the last meeting between the two teams.
- MIT is 2-8 overall and dropped all-three conference matches last weekend.
- Brown won all three matchups against MIT last season by at least seven goals.
- The Bears have not lost to MIT since Oct. 11, 2014.
