Four Bears named to NEWISA All-New England Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brittany Raphino, Kayla Duran, Kayla Thompson, and Ava Seelenfreund of Brown women's soccer were named to the New England Intercollegiate Soccer Association All-New England Team, as announce by the association Wednesday.
Raphino, Duran, and Thompson were all named to the First Team, while Seelenfreund received Third Team honors. Duran was tied as the overall leading vote-getter, while Raphino and Thompson were the leading vote-getters among all forwards and goalkeepers respectively.
"The 2021 NEWISA All-New England Team honors the best student-athletes from colleges and universities throughout the region," NEWISA President Tom McGuinness said. "These players represent some of the most talented collegiate players in the country. They have driven their teams to great success on the field and deserve to be recognized for all their accomplishments. NEWISA congratulates them on their achievements this season."
The 2021 NEWISA All-New England Team was chosen following a nomination process and then voting by NCAA Division I coaches. Team size is reflective of the number of
nominations and coaches participating in the process.
