HOW IT HAPPENED

- Holy Cross tied things up at the 13:48 mark on a shot through a screen and kept the score tied into the first intermission.
- Brown outshot Holy Cross 9-1 over the first 10:41 entering the first period media timeout.
- Much like the first period, Brown struck early in the second to retake the lead when Gross knocked a puck loose in the corner to Bjornson, who centered it out in front to Paolillo, who one-timed it into the net to give the Bears the lead back at 2-1.
- Holy Cross drew even once more at the 11:05 mark when a centering pass from the corner bounced around in a crowd in front, and found its way to Mary Edmonds who knocked in into the net.
- Holy Cross grabbed their first lead of the game at 6:21 of the third period on a rebound from the right wing circle to take a 3-2 lead.
- After some pressure from the Bears with the extra skater on over the final two-plus minutes, Holy Cross put the exclamation point on the win with an empty netter with two seconds remaining.
