Women's Rugby Closes Regular Season at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears close the 2021 regular season with a match at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday (Nov. 5). Saturday's game, which was rescheduled from September 11, is slated to begin at 11 a.m. in Emmitsurg, Maryland.

Saturday's game will stream on NEC Front Row.

SCOUTING BROWN (3-2-1)

Brown enters the regular season finale with a 3-2-1 record with 17 NIRA league points. The Bears are in fifth, and need one or more league point to jump ahead of Quinnipiac for fourth in the standings and a playoff berth.
In its most recent match, Brown fell to Dartmouth at home on Senior Day by a 47-5 final. Olivia Duba scored the lone try for Brown in the loss while Dartmouth finished its regular season with a perfect 7-0-0 record.
Duba leads the team with 42 points scored this season. She has three tries, 13 conversions, and one penalty kick.
Mahdia Parker leads the Bears with seven tries with Zy Thomas in second with six tries. Seven other Bears have recorded at least two tries this season.

SCOUTING MOUNT ST. MARY'S (6-0-0)

Mount St. Mary's enters Saturday's match with a 1-5-0 overall record. The Mountaineers captured a 45-15 win over LIU in 2021. They have fallen to Harvard (53-5), Army (33-5), Dartmouth (70-0), Sacred Heart (22-20), Navy (34-27), and Quinnipiac (29-5).
