PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown's run in the NWPC Tournament came to an end with a 14-9 loss to Princeton on Saturday (Nov. 20). The Bears were led by Andrew Penner and Cole Atwell who each scored two goals.

Princeton took a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter before Leo Berkman tallied Brown's first goal. After another goal from the Tigers, Penner scored with one second on the clock to pull Brown within one.

Three-straight goals to start the second quarter from Princeton pushed the lead to 6-2 but the Bears battled back. Atwell scored the first goal for the Bears and that was followed by goals from Penner and Gabe Chang to pull Brown within one. After the Tigers' next goal Atwell scored to make the score 7-6 at halftime.

Penner tied the game with 6:46 in the third quarter but Princeton responded with back-to-back goals over the next two minutes to jump ahead. Filip Aleksic tallied his only goal of the game with one minute to go but Princeton again had an answer and took a 10-8 lead to the final quarter.

Princeton scored a goal to start the quarter while Connor Enright answered with a goal. Enright's goal would be the last time Brown would find the net as Princeton pulled away with three goals over the last three minutes.
