
Women's Rugby Set for NIRA Semifinal Matchup Against Dartmouth Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The fourth-seeded Brown Bears (4-2-1) travel to Hanover, New Hampshire to take on the top-seeded Dartmouth Big Green (7-0-0) in the NIRA Tier I Semifinals Saturday.
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Brophy Field and will stream on ESPN+.

In the other semifinal, second-seeded Harvard (6-1-0) will take on third-seeded Army (4-2-1) on Saturday at noon.

SCOUTING BROWN (4-2-1)
- The Bears finished the regular season with a 4-2-1 record with wins over Sacred Heart, LIU, Quinnipiac, and Mount St. Mary's. The Bears opened the 2021 season with a tie against Army and fell to Harvard and Dartmouth.
- Junior Mahdia Parker leads the team with nine tries and 45 points. Senior Olivia Duba is second on the team with 44 points, split between three tries and 14 conversions. Zy Thomas is third on the team with 30 points and second among Bears with six tries.
- In total, 10 Bears have converted multiple tries in 2021 and another six have converted one try apiece.
- The playoffs mark familiar territory for the Bears, who reached the NIRA Tier II Championship in 2019 and the Tier I playoffs in 2018. Brown fell to Queens in the 2019 final and to Dartmouth in the 2018 NIRA Semifinals.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH (7-0-0)
- Dartmouth finished the NIRA Tier I regular season with a perfect 7-0-0 record. The Big Green outscored opponents with a +253-point differential in the seven games. Dartmouth defeated five of its seven opponents by 40 or more points, with Army falling to the Big Green 34-28 and Harvard falling 45-31.
- Fifth-year Lilly Durbin leads the Big Green with 10 tries for 50 points on the season. Sophomore Abby Savin is second on the team in scoring with 49 points with 46 points coming off her 23 conversions.
- Eleven Dartmouth players have recorded multiple tries on the season and an additional seven have scored once apiece.
In the other semifinal, second-seeded Harvard (6-1-0) will take on third-seeded Army (4-2-1) on Saturday at noon.
