Men's soccer falls at Northeastern

BOSTON – The Brown men's soccer team lost to Northeastern 4-0 Tuesday night.
The two sides played an even first half, with the Huskies getting on the board in the 18th minute, while the Bears earned the only corner of the first 45.
Things opened up in the second half with Northeastern finding the back of the net three times to eventually take the game by four.
Brown outshot Northeastern in the second half 8-5 and, for the game, trailed by just one at 11-10. The Bears earned 11 corners to the Huskies' two, but weren't able to convert any into goals.
Mike Balleani led Brown with two shots on goal, while Malcolm Johnson, Tanner Barry, and Nicolas Perez all had one each.
Connor Smith saw his first collegiate action in goal as the freshman played the final 19 minutes of the game.
The Bears return to conference action this Saturday, Oct. 16 when they take on Harvard at 7 p.m. in Cambridge.
