
Track & Field’s Lewis Set for NCAA Championship

Zion Lewis will compete in the triple jump on Saturday
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Zion Lewis (Canton, Ga.) of the Brown women's track & field team is set to compete at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship this Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Lewis will compete in the women's triple jump finals on Saturday at 5:30 PM EST. The senior is seeded eighth out of 16 participants with a leap of 44-1.25 (13.44m), set at the Ivy League Championship, when she won the individual title and set the league, school and facility record.
In addition to First Team All-Ivy honors, Lewis was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet at Heps, as she also took fourth in the long jump for fourth all-time in program history. She added a fourth-place finish in the finals of the 60 meters for 18 total points at the meet.
Lewis was recently named the Northeast Regional Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Brown will be represented at the indoor national championships for the third time in as many years, following Owen Russell (weight throw) in 2019 and the men's distance medley relay in 2018.
