Men's Squash Takes 5-3 win over Middlebury

The 16th-ranked Brown men's squash pulled out a thrilling 5-4 win over #19 Middlebury Sunday afternoon. Junior Maximo Moyer, playing number one, provided the final point for the Bears, winning in five games, 8-11,8-11,11-7,11-4,15-13.

"The team played their hearts out to win on the Middlebury courts, 5-4," said head coach Stuart leGassick. "Special mention to Moyer '21 who was 5-9 down in the 5th game and saved 2 match balls to win,15-13, to clinch the match for the Bears."

Junior Andrew Wei (3-0) and freshman Ahmed Amin (3-1) earned wins at four and five, respectively. Senior Harrison Boyer came through with a 3-1 win at seven, and Blake Gilbert-Bono was a 3-0 winner at eight.

The Bears will take on Amherst on Tuesday, January 21, at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
