Bears back to ECAC play at Meehan Auditorium
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's hockey team will return to ECAC play this weekend when the Bears host Rensselaer and Union at Meehan Auditorium. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
Brown dropped a pair of close games to No. 15 Arizona State at home over the weekend to close out non-conference play. After a 3-1 loss on Saturday, Brown jumped out to a three-goal lead early in the second period on Sunday, scoring three times within a 2:22 span. ASU responded with three unanswered goals and then netted the game winner in overtime to secure the comeback victory and weekend sweep. Brent Beaudoin had two goals over the weekend, while Connor Marshall (1-1-2) and Trey Dodd (0-2-2) also had multiple-point efforts.
Scouting Rensselaer
RPI is 3-1 since the start of 2020, composed of all ECAC games, and most recently topped Colgate on Saturday to move into fourth place in the conference standings. Will Reilly and Patrick Polino pace the Engineers with seven goals apiece as seven players have at least four goals. Reilly also has a team-high 15 points as a defenseman, along with Chase Zieky, who has nine assists. RPI is averaging 2.52 goals per game as a team and is 15.1 percent on the power play. Union owns the third-best penalty kill unit in the conference at 83.3 percent. Darion Hanson has started every game in net and heads into the weekend with a 2.65 GAA and a .911 save percentage with a pair of shutouts.
