#16 Brown Falls to #10 Columbia, 7-2 and #14 Cornell, 6-3

Providence, R.I. – The 16^th-ranked Brown men's squash team hosted #10 Columbia and #14 Cornell at the Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday, falling to the Lions, 7-2 and dropping a 6-3 decision to the Big Red.

Freshman Ahmed Amin earned wins over both Columbia and Cornell at number five with a 3-0 victories over both the Lions and Big Red. Senior Blake Gilbert-Bono captured a 3-0 win over Columbia at number eight.

"The men played some great squash - up and down the ladder against Columbia," said head coach Stuart leGassick. They played really hard - but the Lions had a little more experience."

Junior Andrew Wei grabbed a 3-1 win over Columbia at number four, while senior Harrison Boyer pulled out a 3-1 decision at number seven.

" We were oh so close against Columbia," said leGassick.  "What a match. Two matches were lost in the 5th game. A wonderful effort by the entire team.

The Bears are home again on Tuesday, traveling to Annapolis, Maryland on Tuesday, January 14 to face the US Naval Academy in a 4:30 pm start.
