
Women’s Hockey Closes Road Slate at No. 6 Cornell and No. 9 Colgate

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's hockey team will close out its road slate on Friday, Feb. 15 at No. 6 Cornell and on Saturday, Feb. 16 at No. 9 Colgate. Friday's game versus the Big Red begins at 6:00 p.m. while Saturday's contest will start at 3:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell ranks sixth in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls after going 0-1-1 last weekend in North Country, falling 4-1 to No. 4 Clarkson on Friday and tying St. Lawrence, 1-1, on Saturday. Prior to last weekend, the Big Red had won eight-straight games. Maddie Mills leads the team in points (31) and assists (17) and ranks second in goals (14) while Kristin O'Neill has the squad-lead in goals (17) while ranking second in points (26) with the addition of nine assists. Marlene Boissonnault has started 20 games between the pipes and has a 1.84 goals-against average, a .919 save percentage and five shutouts for a 13-3-4 record. Lindsay Browning has started five games in net and has posted a 1.26 GAA, a .948 save percentage and one shutout for a mark of 3-0-2. The duo has combined to lead the ECAC in goals against, allowing just 43, while they have also combined for the top GAA in the league (1.69). The Big Red also rank second in the conference in power-play percentage (23.9), penalty kill (86.4), short-handed goals (6), is third in power-play goals (21) and power-play goals allowed (12) and is fourth in goals (81) and assists (125). Cornell has just one loss at home this season, falling to Princeton, 5-0, on Jan. 11, and have a 9-1-0 record at Lynah Rink.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate is ranked ninth in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls and is coming off of a 1-0-1 weekend with a 2-2 tie at St. Lawrence and a 4-3 overtime upset at No. 4 Clarkson. Jessie Eldridge has the team lead in goals (24) and points (42) while also contributing 18 assists. Shae Labbe carries the team-high in assists with 21 and also has 13 goals for 34 points, ranking third on the team. Julia Vandyk has started 25 games in net and has a 2.51 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and one shutout for a 14-8-5 record. Liz Auby has started four games and has a 2-0-0 record with a 2.70 GAA, a .898 save percentage and one shutout. Colgate is 9-2-1 at home this season with its two losses to Penn State (Sept. 29) and Cornell (Jan. 25). The Raiders rank second in ECAC in goals (103), assists (157) and power-play goals (26) while they are third in short-handed goals (4) and fourth in power-play percentage (20.8). Colgate leads the conference in penalty minutes (279) and power-play opportunities (125).
BROWN LEADERS
Sena Hanson leads the Bears in scoring with 17 points on a team-best 12 goals and five assists. Freshman Shay Maloney (4-11-15) is second on the team in scoring while fellow rookie Lizzy Gross (7-4-11) ranks third. Maloney paces the Bears in assists with 11. Junior Calla Isaac leads the netminder group in save percentage (.901) and shutouts (1). The Sherwood Park, Alberta native tied her season-high of 40 saves on Jan. 18 in a 3-3 tie at St. Lawrence. Freshman Hayley Kliczko has also seen a fair share of time in net with a team-high 12 starts. The rookie recorded a career best 46 saves at Harvard on Feb. 2.
LAST TIME VS. CORNELL
Brown defeated No. 6 Cornell, 4-3, on Nov. 3 in Providence. Junior Sena Hanson recorded two goals and had the game winner at 17:28 of the second. Junior Calla Isaac duplicated her performance from the night before against Colgate and had 38 saves, registering 11 in a scoreless third period to preserve the victory. Veronica Alois scored Brown's first goal while sophomore Abby Nearis' power play goal split up two Hanson scores in the second.
LAST TIME VS. COLGATE
Brown edged No. 9/10 Colgate, 4-3, on Nov. 2 at Meehan Auditorium. The Bears trailed 3-1 early in the second period but fought back with goals from freshman Tina Paolillo and junior Sena Hanson. Hanson then provided the game winner at 7:43 of the third while junior Calla Isaac made 16 saves in the final frame. Isaac finished with 38 total stops. Freshman Lizzy Gross also scored in the contest, Brown's first goal of the game.

Brown closes out the season by hosting Harvard on Friday, Feb. 22 and Dartmouth on Saturday, Feb. 23. Friday's games versus the Crimson will start at 6:00 p.m. while Saturday's contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. Prior to Saturday's game, Brown will honor its four seniors.
