Men’s Squash Topples Amherst, 7-2

Amherst, Mass. – Playing its fourth match in the last five days, the 15th-ranked Brown men's squash team earned a 7-2 victory over Amherst on Wednesday afternoon.
"Considering all the matches we have played recently, the team were engaged and energetic," said head coach Stuart leGassick. "It was really good to see them compete so well."
Brown had success in the top half of the ladder with the Bears winning matches two through five. Sophomore Andrew Wei captured a 3-0 decision at number two, freshman Declan McCarthy was a 3-1 winner at three, senior Philip Demeulenaere won 3-0 at number four and junior Harrison Boyer captured a 3-0 win at number five.
The Bears also won matches seven through nine with sophomore William Glaser winning 3-0 at number seven, senior Ben Carabello winning 3-0 at eight and junior Blake Gilbert-Bono taking a 3-0 decision at number nine.
Brown is back in action again on Saturday, facing Middlebury at 2:30 pm in a match held at Harvard.
