#15 Men’s Squash Posts 9-0 Win Over #22 Bowdoin

Providence, R.I. – The #15 Brown men's squash team had an easy time with #22 Bowdoin Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center, defeating the Polar Bears, 9-0, with five of the nine matches won by a 3-0 margin.

"The team played really well today - and are in good shape for a great road trip next weekend at Cornell and Columbia, said head coach Stuart leGassick. "They are playing well up and down the ladder."

Freshman Grant Sterman captured a 3-1 decision at the top of the lineup, followed by sophomore Andrew Wei at number two (3-0), freshman Declan McCarthy (3-1), senior Phil Demeulenaere (3-0), junior Harrison Boyer (3-0), junior Blake Gilbert-Bono (3-2), junior Nicholas Pitaro (3-0), senior Ben Carabello (3-0) and senior Palek Goel (3-1).

The Bears head to New York State next week, playing at Cornell on Saturday, February 2 and Columbia on Sunday, February 3.
