Women's Squash Splits WIth GW and Drexel at Kurtz Cup

Brown split its first two matches at the Kurtz Cup, opening with a 5-4 win over George Washington and falling to Drexel, 7-2, in the semifinals.

Brown was especially strong in the middle of the lineup against George Washington, winning matches four through seven and then at nine. Isabel Young (3-1), Katrina Northrop, (3-0) Catherine Kimmel (3-1) and Scarlett Bergam (3-0) were winners at four through seven, respectively, and Katherine Pisani captured a 3-0 decision at nine.

The Bears' depth showed in the lower part of the lineup agaunst Drexel, with Bergam and Hannah Safford winning at the 7 and 8 positions, respectively. Drexel's top half proved too much for Brown, however, as it swept the top six positions.
