#12 Women's Squash Dominates #19 Tufts, 9-0

Medford, Mass. - The 12th ranked Brown women's squash team turned in a dominating performance against #19 Tufts in its final regular season contest, taking a 9-0 victory. Coach Stuart leGassick's squad will be back in action at the National Team Championship, February 21-23, in New Haven.
"The team enjoyed the trip to Tufts to play on their new facility," said leGassick. "The squad applied themselves with discipline and are now about to enter the last stretch of the season with the team nationals in 10 days time at Yale."
Eight of the nine matches were decided by 3-0 scores, with junior Alexa Jacobs at one, freshman Danielle Benstock at two, senior Isabel Young at three, sophomore Isabella Kearns at four, sophomore Sara Syed at six, freshman Esha Lakhotia at seven, freshman Katherine Dowling at eight and sophomore Naomi Shammash at nine, completing the day without losing a game. Senior Scarlett Bergam was a 9-11, 11-5, 11-9, 13-11 winner at five for the Bears.
