
Men’s Hockey Set to Host Dartmouth (11/9), Harvard (11/10)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's ice hockey team will play host to a pair of Ivy League foes this weekend when the Bears entertain Dartmouth (11/9) and Harvard (11/10) at Meehan Auditorium. Both games will be available on ESPN+.

Brown picked up a conference point on the road last weekend as the Bears tied Colgate, 2-2, and lost to No. 18 Cornell, 3-2. Rookie Tristan Crozier and Justin Jallen scored the goals for Brown, while Jallen's goal marked the team's first shorthanded tally of the season. Gavin Nieto made a season high 33 saves. Jake Harris and Brent Beaudoin both scored the following night in a one-goal loss to the Big Red. Harris scored the team's first power-play goal of the season and Nieto secured another 30-plus effort with 31 stops.

Dartmouth (2-1-0, 2-1-0) split a pair of games last weekend with a loss to Princeton and a win over Quinnipiac. Will Graber leads the Big Green with five points in three games, including four assists, while three different players have two goals apiece. Adrian Clark (2-0-0) has started two of the three games in net and enters Friday with a 3.49 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage. Dartmouth is tied for the top scoring offense in the ECAC, checking in at 4.33 goals per game, and is 41.7 percent on the power play. Dartmouth has played all three of its games at home.

As a team, Harvard is tied for the top offense in the league at 4.33 goals per game, but is ranked last in the ECAC in defense (5.33 g/gm). Harvard has six power-play goals this season, clocking in at 42.9 percent.

Brown and Harvard have met 174 times, with the Crimson leading the all-time series, 114-47-13. Brown won the very first meeting between the two schools in the oldest active collegiate hockey rivalry, winning 6-0, in 1898 on a flooded baseball field in Dorchester, Mass. Brown and Harvard split the season series last winter as each team won at home. Brown topped the Crimson, 6-4, at Meehan.
