
Men’s Soccer Visits Princeton on Saturday Night

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will continue Ivy League play on Saturday night when the Bears visit Princeton at 8 PM at Sherrerd Field.

THE IVY LEAGUE ON ESPN

LAST TIME OUT
Brown fell to Columbia last weekend, 3-1, in the first Ivy League game of the season. Toby Howell cut the lead to one goal midway through the second half with his first tally of the season, but the Lions held on for the win. Sophomore Max Gross made four saves in the loss for the Bears, while Daniel Schiller assisted on Howell's goal. Danny Laranetto scored two goals for the Lions.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
Princeton is 4-4-1 on the season and tied Dartmouth, 2-2, to open Ivy play. Princeton has been in close games all season as eight of nine contests have been decided by one goal or tied. Sean McSherry and Jeremy Colvin lead the attack with six points apiece, while Colvin has a team-high three goals. Jacob Schachner has played all nine games in net for a 0.84 goals-against average and a .758 save percentage with three shutouts. The Tigers are averaging 1.00 goals per game.
LAST TIME AGAINST PRINCETON
Brown earned a 1-0 shutout over the Tigers in Providence last season. Brown will be looking for its third straight win over Princeton and last fell to the Tigers in 2014, falling on the road, 2-1.
COMMON OPPONENT
Brown and Princeton have played one common non-conference opponent this season as both teams beat Boston University. Brown topped BU on the road, 2-1, and Princeton won at home, 1-0.
IVY RANKINGS
Daniel Schiller is ranked second in the Ivy League in assists (3) and third in points (9), averaging 1.13 points per game. He is also ranked third in the league with three goals.
