Men's Crew Set to Open Season Against Yale on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's crew will return to the water this weekend when the Bears host Ivy League rival Yale on Saturday in the annual battle for the Albert Cup on the Seekonk River.

LOOKING BACK AT 2016
Brown placed sixth in the varsity eight grand final at the 2016 IRA National Championship, earning a trip to the varsity grand finals for the eighth-straight season. The Bears also finished fourth in the third varsity grand finals, while the team was sixth in standings for the Jim Ten Eyck Memorial Trophy, awarded to the school with the most team points. In addition, Brown placed third as a team at the EARC Eastern Sprints, highlighted by a pair of bronze medals in the varsity eight and third varsity races.
LAST TIME AGAINST YALE
Yale won three of four races against Brown last season on the Housatonic River, including a victory in the varsity eight to claim the Albert Cup. Brown captured a win in the third varsity race.
