
Men's Crew Tops BU to Retain Michalson Cup

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's crew won a pair of races against Boston University, including a victory in the varsity eight to retain the Michalson Cup, as the Bears battled the Terriers Saturday morning on the Seekonk River.
In the varsity race, which decides the winner of the Michalson Cup, Brown crossed by a length at 5:33.3 to edge BU by three seconds at 5:36.1. Brown has held the Michalson Cup since 2013, while last year's annual duel race was cancelled due to weather.
Brown also claimed a win in the third varsity race, crossing at 5:55.3 to hold back the Terriers at 5:56.4.
Boston University picked up a trio of victories in the second varsity (5:45.5), fourth varsity (6:07.9) and 5V4+ (6:27.2).
Brown returns to the water on Saturday, April 2 when the Bears visit defending national champion Washington.
