Charlie Fargo '24 and Gus Rodriguez '22 Selected to Compete in 2026 World Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - With the 2026 World Rowing Championships scheduled to begin on August 24 in Amsterdam, two members of the Brown men's crew family will compete for Team U.S.A.
Charlie Fargo '24 will race with the Men's Eight, making his first appearance at the World Rowing Championships. Fargo, a three-time IRCA Scholar-Athlete, rowed as a member of Brown's Varsity Eight crew for most of his four years with Bruno. Earlier in his collegiate career, Charlie received IRCA Second Team All-American and Second Team All-Ivy honors during the 2021-22 season, where he helped the Bears take home a bronze medal at the 119th IRA Championship.
Gus Rodriguez '22 will compete with the Men's Fours for the third time in his career. Rodriguez rowed for Team U.S.A. in 2022 and 2025, as well as earning a bronze medal with the Men's Eight in 2025. Gus received IRCA First Team All-American honors after the 2021-22 season, as well as being named 2021 U.S. Rowing U-23 Co-Athlete of the Year. Rodriguez stroked the Varsity Eight that season.
