LAST TIME OUT
Goals by Erin Katz and Chloe Cross helped the Brown women's soccer team draw even with Columbia, 2-2, on a rainy Saturday at Stevenson Field.
THE SERIES HISTORY – QUINNIPIAC
The Bears claimed the lone meeting between the two schools, a 1-0 victory in last season's opener on Sept. 7, 2013.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac enters Tuesday's contest on a three-game losing streak, including a hard-fought 2-1 defeat at the hands of Canisius last Saturday. In his 16th season at the helm, Head Coach Dave Clarke's squad looks to finish off their non-conference slate on a high note before MAAC play resumes. The Bobcats will look to sophomore forward Jessica Fontaine to carry the load on offense as she paces the team with three goals, including the lone game-winner versus Vermont on Sept. 13. Goalkeeper Natalia Grodzki has started 9-of-10 contests this season, making 41 saves and recording a .707 save-percentage.
THE LAST TIME VS. QUINNIPIAC
(9/7/13) - Senior Mika Siegelman (Piedmont, Calif.) found the back of the net just 13 minutes into the contest and the defense to care of the rest as the Brown women's soccer team downed Quinnipiac, 1-0, in the season opener Friday afternoon at the QU Soccer Field.
FLAIR FOR THE DRAMATICS
Cross' goal in the 83rd minute on Sunday was the third time the Bears have scored in the 80th minute or later this season.
KATZ CONTINUES CAREER SEASON
Continuing her productive season, junior midfielder Erin Katz's (Montgomery, Ala.) first half goal against Columbia ranks her second on the team with three strikes in 2014.
CALAS AND REILLY FIND THE BACK OF THE NET
Sydney Calas and Allie Reilly each notched their first goals of the season on Wednesday in Brown's 3-1 win over Bryant. For Reilly, it marked her first strike since Sept. 2, 2011.
CROSS TOPS IVY LEAGUE
Chloe Cross currently sits in a two-way tie for first in the Ivy League with five goals alongside Cornell's Elizabeth Crowell.
YANT LEADS LEAGUE IN SAVES
Senior goalkeeper Malloy Yant (Fenton, Mo.) recorded her first career shutout in Brown's 2-0 win over UMass on Sept. 18. Yant currently leads the Ivy League with 37 saves.
SHUMWAY COLLECTS FIRST WIN
Freshman goalkeeper Rylee Shumway (Los Angeles, Calif.) posted her first career start on Wednesday at Bryant, collecting her first collegiate win after making three saves and surrendering just one goal.
